We innovate future applications

Recently, the '2018 Building Technology · Urban Renewal' Technology Forum and the release event of the '2018 Shanghai Construction Industry Development Report' were successfully held. The forum, themed around 'Organic Urban Renewal: Performance and Safety', featured presentations on topics such as urban renewal, public safety in cities, and urban construction, with participation from government authorities, industry experts, renowned universities, and research institutions. Over 500 guests attended the event.

Lin Fanqiu, Chairman of DBC Group, was invited to attend the forum and delivered an insightful speech titled 'The Great Development of Environmental Durability Materials in Urban Renewal - A Brief Discussion on Functional Materials'. From a materials technology perspective, Lin analyzed the application of environmental durability and recyclable materials in fitness paths and sponge cities, exploring the role and potential applications of functional materials in urban renewal.
DBC Group is rooted in the development and application of new materials, driving innovation through the use of environmentally friendly materials. With infrastructure and urban renewal as its goals, and user experience at the core, DBC aims to build a green ecosystem that fosters collaboration, sharing, and mutual benefit. In the field of sports flooring, DBC collaborates with BASF to develop EPTU (Expanded Polyurethane Thermoplastic) running tracks and permeable fitness paths, which offer excellent resilience, superior impact absorption, and outstanding water permeability. These materials meet stringent European and American environmental standards and are widely used in over a thousand sports venues, schools, and fitness paths across the country, providing athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and children with an unparalleled experience.

For sponge cities, DBC has partnered with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and BASF to develop the permeable and pressure-resistant road system 'Luotouba', providing a practical solution for sponge city construction. In actual applications in Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guizhou, and Jiangsu provinces, Luotouba demonstrated excellent water permeability, anti-pressure, wear resistance, and slip resistance, as well as environmental friendliness, colorful appearance, easy maintenance, and sound reduction properties. It has become a 'breathing' urban landscape pavement, effectively alleviating the urban heat island effect and preventing city surfaces from overheating.

We innovate future applications
DBC Group aims to 'forge green cities with eco-friendly materials and create sustainable green living.' In its development, DBC Group consistently integrates material innovation with environmental protection. It makes relentless efforts to enhance urban construction and urban renewal.

This event was hosted by Shanghai Academy of Building Science (Group) Co., Ltd., with joint hosting by Nan Tong Blue Star Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. It was jointly organized by Shanghai Academy of Building Science, Shanghai Jianke Architectural Design Institute, and Shanghai Jianke Media Culture Communication Co., Ltd. Deputy Inspector Zhu Jianhao from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Duxunfu Xu from the Policy Research Office also attended the forum.
