都佰城：合肥市教育局召开中小学运动场地新国标培训会

To standardize the construction of synthetic material surface sports fields in primary and secondary schools in Hefei, and to ensure the health and safety of students and teachers, the Hefei Education Bureau organized a training session on the new national standards GB36246-2018 for synthetic material surface sports fields for primary and secondary schools in response to guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and the Anhui Provincial Department of Education. The training was held on November 13, 2018, as part of the '2018 Education System Infrastructure and Energy Management Cadre Training.' Representatives from relevant departments of the Hefei and district education bureaus, principals of key schools in the city, and leaders responsible for infrastructure work in various districts attended the training session. Deputy Director Lu Changyun of the Hefei Education Bureau, Deputy Director Zhu Weihong and Tan Longbing of the Project Office attended the meeting.

The new national standard GB36246-2018 for synthetic material surface sports fields for primary and secondary schools, drafted by the Ministry of Education and jointly issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, came into effect nationwide on November 1. At this training session, Lin Fanqiu, a key drafter of the new national standard GB36246-2018, President of BIOTEN New Materials Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a special professor at Peking University, a councilor of the China Sports Equipment Association, and vice dean of the Ministry of Education's Green Sports Grounds Research Institute, provided a detailed and comprehensive interpretation of the new standard.

Mr. Lin Fanqiu provided a comprehensive interpretation of the new national standard and conducted an in-depth analysis of quality control methods for sports field construction.

During the training session, Mr. Lin elaborated on the background, requirements, and construction technology controls of the new standard, particularly addressing the limits on harmful substances, physical properties, and odor evaluation, which were of great relevance and practical value to the participants.

The three-hour training session saw the education bureau officials of Hefei fully engaged in their studies, demonstrating a commendable level of commitment.

During the Q&A and interactive session following the training, officials from the Hefei Education Bureau raised many professional questions regarding the overall quality requirements and specialized assurance measures for sports field construction. These included issues such as problems encountered from the base layer to the surface layer, chemical environmental control methods during construction, the realization of material and construction physical mechanical properties, and the construction indicators and requirements for the base layer. Lin Fanqiu responded positively and addressed each question in detail. He also shared practical management strategies and operational technical support from actual projects.

According to statistics from the Anhui Provincial Department of Education, as of 2017, there were a total of 2,004 schools at various levels across the city, including 54 general colleges, 54 vocational schools, 108 high schools, 245 junior high schools, 542 primary schools, 994 kindergartens, 6 special education schools, and 1 national defense school. The successful convening of this new national standard training session will help the Hefei education system understand and grasp the new standards, guide the construction of environmentally durable sports fields in primary and secondary schools, and promote the implementation of the green campus construction strategy.
